Therapy sessions typically last 55 minutes.

Session frequency is tailored to your needs and preferences. Weekly sessions are common, but biweekly or monthly sessions may be appropriate in some cases.

Jodi offers some evening and weekend appointments to accommodate clients with busy schedules. Contact Jodi to discuss your scheduling needs.

Prior to your first session, ensure that you have a quiet, private space with a reliable internet connection. You’ll also want to download and install the HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software that Jodi uses for sessions.

The duration of therapy varies based on your individual needs and goals. Some clients see significant progress in a few months, while others may benefit from longer-term support.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This allows Jodi to offer the time slot to another client in need. 

Sessions are conducted via HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software, ensuring both privacy and convenience.

Research has shown that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns. It offers the added benefits of accessibility, flexibility, and privacy.

Jodi’s clients can expect to set realistic goals, solve problems, become more assertive, better manage stress and anxiety, identify and challenge negative thoughts, journal and keep track of their feelings, thoughts and behaviors, as well as engage in more enjoyable activities like hobbies, exercising, and other social activities.

Jodi Paris may assign activities like reflection exercises, mediation, and/or worksheets which will test her client’s learned skills and techniques and how they respond to real triggers (stressors) in their environment.

A superbill is a detailed invoice outlining the services a client received from an out-of-network therapist or other healthcare providers. Clients can then submit an official receipt of their qualified expenses to their health insurance company for reimbursement. It is up to the insurance company to determine how much money the client will get reimbursed, if any.
